From Full faceLift to Minilift
She is 56 years old, a business professional, wife, and mother. She has an active family and work life. She works in a visible position in an office filled with younger coworkers.
Has she had a prior “full” facelift? Yes, with a different surgeon. She has experienced an extensive face lift and is now looking for an alternative without the extensive scarring and lengthy recovery.

The after photo is 6 weeks after Dr. Speron performed a redo facelift, midface lift and upper and lower blepharoplasty, and pixie earlobe repair. Her perioral area has been nicely rejuvenated. No skin care program, peels or laser has been done. Notice the much improved skin tone and "lip-lift" achieved. Notice the square aged appearance of her face has become more youthful.
- What are her goals and what are her dislikes prior to surgery?
-
1. She would like to make a noticeable but this time natural change to her aging face, cheeks and eyes.
2. She does not like her previous facelift scars and is tired of trying to hide them. She had traditional facelift 6 years ago (performed by another surgeon) and her wide, “railroad track” scars are very obvious behind her ears. She also has an unnaturally high sideburn, which I have repositioned lower. Finally,
3. Her ears. Her "pixie-ear deformity" (one of the most common complications after a facelift) is very noticeable in her photos. She wants the unnatural ear appearance to be corrected.4. What doesn’t she want? A prolonged recovery and extensive scarring are out of the question for her. She wants a minimal incision approach under local anesthesia.
